Born in Osaka, Japan, I earned my degree in English Studies from the Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto after graduating from the International School in Osaka. I then moved to Germany in 2000 to specialise in business translations and interpreting.
Since then, I have worked for the Japanese External Trade Organisation (JETRO), various companies, institutions, TV stations, etc., delivering high-quality linguistic services whenever needed.

Some notable moments in my career timeline include interpreting at the 33rd G8 Summit, during the 2006 FIFA World Cup and 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Germany. I also enjoyed working on long-term projects such as the “Vermeer art exhibition” in Japan in 2018 or “From Renaissance to Rococo” in 2012, for which I attended meetings with curators and museum directors for over 5 years. Movies I subtitled include the multi-award-winning German “4 minutes”, the multi-award-winning Japanese “Sweet Beans” as well as the Japanese 2008 Hit Animation “Ponyo”.
